Easter, Deconstructed explores fragility, ritual and reconstruction through fragmented still life compositions. Broken shells, pigment, texture and discarded materials become traces of celebration not preserved as memories, but reassembled as emotion.
By dismantling familiar symbols associated with Easter, the series shifts attention away from tradition itself and toward what remains after the moment has passed residue, tension, softness and rupture. Everyday objects are reconstructed into sculptural arrangements that blur the line between celebration and decay, intimacy and distance, preservation and loss.
Through colour, materiality and carefully disrupted compositions, the work reflects on the human tendency to hold onto fragments of rituals, memories and experiences even after their original meaning begins to dissolve. The images exist not as documentation of celebration, but as emotional reconstructions of it.
